Facebook a top cause of relationship trouble, say US lawyers

Social networking site becoming primary source of evidence in divorce proceedings and custody battles, lawyers say

I nearly died laughing for some reason. Makes it sound like Facebook is the "Other Woman" or the reason men don't do chores.

Seriously, this is a classic example of how people don't take accountability for their relationships. Blame it on financial troubles. Blame it on his commitment-phobic psyche. Blame it on the dog. Hell, blame Facebook!

This is what I think about the "tighter security measures" in LRT.

fffuuuuu Pictures, Images and Photos

Especially when you wake up EXTRA early, just to spend 30 minutes standing in line outside the LRT station. And you know what's changed about inspection? They don't use those wooden, poking sticks anymore to go through your stuff. They simply use their gloved hands.

I'm a bit tetchy about someone's hands going through my bag after they've gone through someone else's stuff.

Yeah, sure, make us suffer standing in line until a terrorist decides that a crowded three-mile long queue is an excellent place for his next plot. Harharhar.

Something to tap your brain with

"Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can't lose."

Get Crazy!!

OMG, midterm week!! Almost done! Only have midterms in Algebra and NSTP next week and I'm about to go nuts here!

I know I haven't posted in awhile but only because I've been reeeeally busy with school. In between school, chores and family time, there's sleep.

Yes, sleep is very, very important to me.

Right now I'm sort of zombie-ish and I forgot what important thing I'm suppose to blog about today.

Ah well.

Oh Life. That.

Been busy with school! School's been pretty fantastic or maybe because I'm still taking up minors. Muhahaha.

So lately a lot of people have been asking me why I didn't take the Multimedia Arts course in Benilde since I'm obviously a very artistic person.

I have no friggin' idea.

I'm having fun as a student in my Consular and Diplomatic Affairs course so... I'm not sure why.

I will be doing some serious thinking for the next few days.

Weather Weather

So far, the weather's been pretty good lately. No sign of the hurricane that's supposedly hitting Northern Luzon.

What have I been up to? Been pretty busy with school while trying not to get distracted by boys. I have to learn how to ignore some of them (including Super Crush because, yeah, for my own good) for the sake of academic excellence. If not academic excellence, at least I have the face to present my parents a good course card.
And I have signed up as member of the Greenpeace! It was pretty random. It was a Monday (or was that Tuesday?) and I was walking toward the train platform when some dude approached me asking for a moment of my time. Got nothing else on my agenda anyway, so what the heck. Next thing I knew, I was signing up a form while Anthony told me about their recent organization activities.

SO looking forward to it.

Another Epic Flash flood?

Storm Megi to hit Cagayan Valley, to bring Ondoy-like rains

Tropical Storm Megi further intensified as it approaches the country and is forecast to enter Philippine territory late Friday night or early Saturday morning. The storm is also expected to bring Ondoy-like rains to affected areas.

Officials from the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) also said at a press conference in Quezon City that Megi will make landfall between Isabela and Cagayan provinces Monday afternoon.

Megi, which will be codenamed "Juan" once inside Philippine territory, was spotted 1,300 kilometers east of southern Luzon as of 10 a.m.

The storm, the tenth to hit the country this year, was monitored to be packing maximum sustain winds of 105 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 135 kph.

Nathaniel Servando, PAGASA deputy director for research and development, said Megi is expected to intensify into a typhoon in the next two days, with winds reaching beyond 150 kph.

"Landfall is based on the eye of the storm, but its circulation could be felt [as early as] Sunday afternoon in the two provinces [where it will make landfall]," he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary Mario Montejo of the Department of Science and Technology also warned that Megi could bring rains as much as that of storm Ondoy (Ketsana), the killer typhoon that triggered floods that left hundreds dead and millions of pesos in damages in Metro Manila and neighboring provinces in September 2009.

Weather officials earlier said that the rainfall brought by Ondoy last year was the most in recorded history, surpassing the previous record for the metropolis in 1967. (See: Epic flood in Metro Manila caused by record rainfall)

Weather forecasters also discouraged sea travelers to sail in the affected areas as early as Sunday morning.

PAGASA said it will continue issuing weather bulletins every six hours, but will post hourly updates on its Twitter account which is expected to be activated within the day. —LBG/RSJ, GMANews.TV
